Services

Accommodation

All rooms are fully furnished, have an en-suite facility and are equipped with call bells, an optional telephone connection and flat screen televisions (Sky available on request). Residents will also have use of an iPad should they wish to communicate by email or SKYPE. We make every effort to accommodate any special decorative requests and of course residents are welcome and encouraged to bring familiar furniture with them should they so wish.

Dining

Dining at Stone House is designed to be a pleasure both socially and gastronomically. Our chef uses fresh produce, sourced locally from local farmers, butchers and fruit and vegetable suppliers. Our menus are designed to be nutritious but of course a product of what our residents tell us they most enjoy with plenty of choice always on offer.

We have scored 5 stars with the "Scores on the Doors" scheme, a food hygiene rating of 'Excellent'.

Activities

We take an interactive and holistic approach to activities, giving as much one to one stimulation as possible. Creative arts, games and reminiscence therapy are always very well received.

Organising entertainment from lectures to sing-alongs and arranging visits to local places of interest keeps our full-time activities co-ordinator very busy.

Medical

A General Practitioner visits the Home each week, and where possible residents are welcome to retain their existing GP's.

Additional services include:

  • Chiropody
  • Hairdressing
  • Optician
  • Audiology
  • A multi-denominational church service that is held once a month and individual clergy are welcomed at any time.
