Services
Accommodation
All rooms are fully furnished, have an en-suite facility and are equipped with call bells, an optional telephone connection and flat screen televisions (Sky available on request). Residents will also have use of an iPad should they wish to communicate by email or SKYPE. We make every effort to accommodate any special decorative requests and of course residents are welcome and encouraged to bring familiar furniture with them should they so wish.
Dining
Our wonderful chef provides a superb and varied choice of meals, prepared using fresh local produce. Our menus are designed to cater for what our residents love and look forward to. Residents, as they would in their own Homes, choose where and when to have their breakfast, lunch and dinner, which logistically and thankfully for our chef, hasn't proved too troublesome!
We have scored 5 stars with the "Scores on the Doors" scheme, a food hygiene rating of 'Excellent'.
Activities
We have a lively activities coordinator who arranges a varied programme of events and outings, including visits to local stately homes, drama therapy, musical entertainment, Wii physiotherapy (enjoyed by the younger carers too!) and the more earthy pursuits of helping our garden to look as wonderful as it does. Some of our residents of course simply prefer Vivaldi, a glass of red wine and a good book!
Medical
A General Practitioner visits the Home each week and where possible residents are welcome to retain their existing GP's.
Additional services include:
- Chiropody
- Hairdressing
- Optician
- Audiology
- A multi-denominational church service that is held once a month and individual clergy are welcomed at any time.
