Welcome to our very first "Electronic News sheet" for Peverel Court Care.
My name is Jill Timms and I am the Group Manager for our 3 Homes. I will be putting together the pieces for this page.
Our aim is to bring you relevant information, special announcements or dates of up and coming major events within the Homes. For each edition I would like to feature "good news" stories and notable successes. We hear so many bad stories from the media!
I will feature one Care Sector development that is, or will be having an effect within our Homes, and currently there are plenty. We are in an extremely busy time with new regulators the Care quality Commission, introduction of new Parliamentary Acts or Government Strategies such as the Mental Capacity Act, the National Dementia Care Strategy, the End of life Care Strategy, the Workforce Development Strategy and the Personalisation Agenda, to name a few.
Keeping up with these changes and implementing them into the Homes is a full time job, but essential if we want to maintain our "Excellent" standards of Care given to our residents and keep our Inspectors happy!
We are planning new build extensions at all of the Homes, hopefully starting 2 of them in the Spring.
So life is very full!
